Sponsored Swim

The team had a practice weekend to start training for Cowes week this week. They will be racing Sonars in the white fleet. They are still raising money to finance their sailing so at the end of the sailing session they had a sponsored swim in the harbour. The water temperature was only 3.5 deg C. At this temperature without any protection from the water you would be dead within 8 minutes.... As well as a safety boat in the water they had someone with a stop watch to make sure they were out of the water before hypothermia started..
